Re: NEW Squier Offsets 2017
i dunno what kind of volumes Squier expects to sell, but the fact that the jarmans don't appear to be coming back (at least in the immediate future) for worldwide sale sucks. They seemed to sell out pretty quick! Especially for just being available in europe, primarily the UK.

Yep! Same here.PixMix wrote:I'm not a lefty but I support this message. It must be awful to be left handed guitar player. The selection seems really poor.Footbutt wrote:FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, PLEASE GIVE US LEFTIES AN OPTION!
I hope that left handed players would have some nice JM or JAGUAR too.

I have no idea what Fender is thinking.indiandysummer wrote:i dunno what kind of volumes Squier expects to sell, but the fact that the jarmans don't appear to be coming back (at least in the immediate future) for worldwide sale sucks. I've owned several high end guitars such as Tylers, Suhrs and Collings.
I currently own a Vinetto strat, a Fender CS JM, a Jagumarr and the Musuar when it comes to electric guitars.
I love the musuar just as much as the others. It is that good. It might not be for everyone, but for those who enjoy shortscale guitar, it's a must try.
I've only played the Squier JMJM once, but that also had some of that elusive mojo when it comes to neck feel and instrument "presence" just strumming the guitar acoustically.
I've replaced the humbucker with a Mojo GF and replaced the kill switch with a three way.
I was *this* close to buying a second one, but just couldn't justify having two identical guitars (even if I replaced the pickups with different ones for each). And I love BMM. But if Fender makes another run, in another color, I'll order it as soon as the become available (except for sunburst ).

Squier has done some really cool stuff lately. The VM line is obviously a big success here but these...meh.

Really unfortunate news (so far) indeed.
I'm convinced that the Ryan Jarman signature Musuar is really one of the best things Squier has done as of late, and I'd gladly buy another. Nearly everything about it make sit a breeze to play: Solid fit and finish that feels like a CIJ, lovely a rounded C neck, comfy contours, great sustain from the TOM bridge and proper Fender Tremolo ass'y combination, even the screw in trem bar is a nice touch. I only have gripes with the shoddy bridge humbucker and the fact that at about 8.5lbs it's the heaviest guitar I own, but by no means are they deal-breakers.
To my eyes the Burgundy Mist is a tad more "Lavender Metallic" than the slightly rosy hue of a proper vintage lacquer shade, but still looks fantastic under all kinds of lighting.

No lie, it plays better than the Jag and the TOM loves to take a beating. Squier has got to keep these in production for 2017!

the jarman is seriously so gorgeous. if only it had a 7.25" fretboard radius.......starflower wrote:indiandysummer wrote:i dunno what kind of volumes Squier expects to sell, but the fact that the jarmans don't appear to be coming back (at least in the immediate future) for worldwide sale sucks. Re: NEW Squier Offsets 2017
I'm going to consider that Mustang HH i think. i love cobolt (?) blue- the shade matches my spandex (i also have a showmaster in that colour
)
I was pondering last night as i am enjoying 24" scale, which offset i'd have as a main and one as a backup- i'd prob pick a jarman as #1 and either route my VM jag for a bridge humbucker or try one of these new mustangs and coil tap the neck (if needed) for #2.
either way i'll be having a serious look when they come out, i say well done with that one squier

Re: NEW Squier Offsets 2017
over the years squier has put out some pretty awesome models in my not so humble opinion.
these would be my favorite squier models of all time:
1. Cabronita telecaster with bigsby.
2. CV duo sonic (sand finish and gold pickguard)
3. the jarman guitar
4. CV pine BSB telecaster.
5. jmascis jazzmaster
those guitars are all awesome and they had a part in making me a squier fan. i'm not really feeling the current new crop so much, but whatever i still think squier is great.

yeah no doubt i actually forgot about the supersonic and jagmaster - just naming off some models i have either owned or wanted to own. Another would have been the early 80s Japanese and Korean bullets. squier has definitely put out some cool guitars over the years.jagstang wrote:you just forgot the supersonic, jagmaster and venus...MKR wrote:over the years squier has put out some pretty awesome models in my not so humble opinion.

Re: NEW Squier Offsets 2017
Hey there
Long time no speak.
Man, to say that we are thrilled with the response to the guitars would be an understatement. It's a real honour to see people using them and enthusing about them. Hard to describe really, but definitely a unique experience.
I'm a little unsure as to what is coming next with regards to Squier offsets - my understanding at the time was that the Mustang, Jazzmaster and Jaguar were to be retained to compliment the existing traditional shapes on offer, so I had assumed that meant the VM's as they had been so popular. I knew that the signature models were to be discontinued, so I assumed an overall streamlining of the range.
The philosophical way to look at it is that because the signatures are sold out, and people seem to like them so much is that it will grow the reputation of these guitars over the years and that is really cool. However, they were only really available for 6-8 weeks max, so it's a shame to not see where they could've gone had they been retained in the line. Ever since those Sonic Grey offsets have been announced I can't get the idea of a Sonic Grey Musuar with white switches/knobs/bobbins out of my mind...
I do believe the Fender guys read this forum though...

I'm not interested in baritones or offset guitars without the traditional trem, so that leaves the red one. Uninspiring color choice (black plastic? barf), but it'd be nice if they kept the JMJM in the line with a different paint job.

Look, it's The Cribs!

Whilst I love the Cribs, I swear I bought these guitars independently of that

BMM - w/matching headstock. MKO.
Now I need FMIC to re-release the venus/jagmaster/supersonic in IBL or OLP or OTM or aztec gold or sherwood green or ...

Re: NEW Squier Offsets 2017
Does one of you guys/girls know when new models usually hit the sales-floors?
I'm looking for a proper Baritone for quite some time and this one could be interesting.
I guess no one has new facts or pictures, yet?
