looks awesome. By the way, is that a decal they include for you to put on the headstock (if you so choose)?

Original Swingers sometimes had the same weird sticker going on, and sometimes did not (or it peeled off.) it’s actually thoughtful they recreated this.

Just had a thought - “You know you’re too deep into Offsets when they reissue a guitar, and you’re only excited to see parts of it go up on eBay.”
i can’t help but look at fender guitars like they’re legos... bits and pieces to be deconstructed and rearranged. i’d buy one of the one pickup loaded bodies in a heartbeat.

I think that's also the way Leo looked at his creations.

I would have never chosen that color scheme but it looks pretty cool!
It just goes together really well, good job!

Ok... put some 10’s on it, and changed the neck plate to an “F” plate. I partially removed the pickguard to get the plastic film off. While it was partially apart, I took a look inside... not too shabby. Full size CTS pots, Switchcraft jack, fully shielded, and some sort of vintage reissue-type pickups with cloth wrapped wires and fiber bobbins. Fender Japan has really upped their game. Sounds great through my Deluxe Reverb... pretty quiet for a single coil vintage-style guitar. I’m pleased...

I really like these, but this is a MAJOR pet peeve of mine; WHY DONT THEY SOLDER THE GROUND TO THE JACK?!?! I know it's not needed but once things gets a little wobbly because jacks loosen; they always do; your signal will start cutting out. And you know that'll happen in the middle of a show or recording session or something else important where you can't have such things happen. It's just a stupid oversight / cost cutting measure that makes no sense.

OHHH MY GOD THEY ARE MANUFACTURING THE HARD TAIL AGAIN!!!
if anyone finds out how to order this piece from ANYWHERE please post or DM me directly.

Ive been doing all my bullet mustang conversions with a toronado bridge, a drill, and 3 telecaster saddles.
I don't know for certain that these are what's on the Swinger, but it looks like it could be. It's called the Kaminari K-brg1

The jack is connected to the plate which should connect the pots and shielding to ground. You can add a ground wire, but it shouldn't be necessary unless the jack isn't making good contact with the metal plate. :) Old Jags and Mustangs sometimes didn't have a ground wire to the jack either because they are mounted on a metal plate.

I know but it's bad practice. We all have had jack's loosen over time. Shit like that happens at the worst of times; so your guitar will start cutting out in the middle of a set or recording session. And why? Because Fender decided it's worth saving 2 cents in parts and labor. It's a shitty practice and it should stop. Just solder a single fucking wire from the jack to the back of the pots. Done.

You should always check to make sure the jack is tight before playing a guitar, just like you should always check that the lug nuts are tight before driving a car.

Anyway, here's a Swinger with a purple mirror acrylic pickguard and a single JB Jr in the bridge position.

I really want to try one of these, but I am guessing I'll never come across one on this middle of nowhere island of mine.
