I really want a surf green one so I can mod it to vintage specs. I’d just get a CV/VM, but the finish options are just bleh. Problem is, I have no idea how hard it is to route for a Mustang trem. I know it’s possible because someone on this forum did it though.

Don't know if I posted my Thurstang here or not.
But here it is.
I have since fitted it with 3 Brass Tele saddles.

I also re-did the logo because I hated the black one.

By now this has become my main guitar at the new Electro-Band project. It is so light and thin, yes I can do nice neck bends like on a SG but it's stable and oh so solid. Loving it - WORTH EVERY CENT!

I got a regular Mustang pickguard but dang I'm really even liking the pickups very much!!! :o

ok. so i want to update this since the photo i used in the first picture was shot of a potato.

the "acestang" has a bullet neck on it. so half the photo is bullet mustangs.

i do want to say i tried one of the newer ones since they raised the price. i thought to myself that i'd be fine paying a little more if the guitars were better quality. i tried one of the new ones and....... yeah. not much better IMHO. the bodies are fine for the most part but the issues ive had with all 3 of the bullet mustang necks is the tuner holes being too big, meaning the tuner wiggles. the one i tried had the same issue. the fret ends are not as much of an issue as they were however.

I got the Squier logo from Ebay. They are cheap but they are printed in metallic inks. Hit and miss usually
but I've been happy mostly for projects like this. I printed the Mustang part out myself using decal paper and a laser printer.

Yup. The dirt cheap Wilkinson ones with compensated saddles.
