That's really beautiful, and I like that you didn't try to pass it off as something it's not, and opted to go with the tweaked peghead/"Faker" logo. Nice touch!

What tremolo are you using on this? I see it has the sliding lock button, but no engraved Fender logo. Is it one of those blank plates from Faction (designed to transplant/hold the guts of an AVRI trem), or is it that no-brand (but lock button-equipped) tremolo StewMac sells (Golden Age, I think is the name)? To my knowledge there aren't that many non-Fender locking offset tremolos out there.

I’m about to send my xii body and swinger body to Mjt, both of which were made by some gentlemen here on the forum.

Thanks. In retrospect, I should have had the waterslide made to say "Jakemaster"...it's over the clear coat, so maybe I will.

The trem (and most other parts) are from All Parts.

I left it for a few days at a friend's house...so, I was playing my Squier JM Jm and was really enjoying it...but, I had this one out again today and it is just so, so sweet.
If I was a byrd, I'd be mighty sore every time they shut the door and I don't think I'd sing...

This is my MJT Jazzmaster that I got in 2011. I've posted photos on here lots of times and it's my number one.

It has a swamp ash body with an aged sherwood green finish. The neck is a maple 7.25" radius soft V, similar to a 50's Stratocaster. If I remember correctly, the body is from Wildwood and the neck is a Musikraft.

The neck pickup is a Seymour Duncan Antiquity II and the bridge is a Creamery Wide Range humbucker. The controls are a simple 3-way switch and a volume.

The bridge is an Allparts Mustang bridge and the tremolo is an AVRI. I had to do some work with the tremolo cavity, so some wood was removed to allow the tremolo to move smoothly.

Got the Fiesta Red body from an MJT eBay auction, built this up as a “1st Christmas” present for my daughter a few years ago…

Roasted maple neck (Musikraft IIRC), AVRI vibrato, Mastery bridge, Glendale control bits, Novak wide range in the neck. I have an aged guard for it, just never put it on... I kinda like it like this.

The CFM Jazzmaster on the right in an MJT body and refinish, neck is from a custom builder.

As soon as some of my reverb listings sell I’m ordering a Jazzmaster with matching headstock from Mjt. Can’t wait

Yeah I’m still no closer to figuring this out. The way the frets sit above the binding looks super weird to me on all these Musikraft necks I’m seeing.

I fully sympathize with being thrown off by little details like this. When I was ordering my Jaguar from the Fender Custom Shop the guy asked me how I wanted the frets-- over the binding or with little binding nibs. I had no idea. He put nibs on the binding. My Allparts (I think that's what it is?) just has the frets. I am way more concerned with having the blocks look correct, but I've noticed that some aftermarket necks seem to use slightly thicker binding, or maybe they don't roll the edges as much.

Oh shit, yeah! I thought that Mustang was perfect but seeing it next to the Jaguar it’s pretty different!

I had a 66 Jaguar and the frets didn’t have nibs they were just shaped in a way where they kind of ended right before the binding? I have a thin skin JM and it’s a little different but the frets still don’t just sit on top of the binding. I agree that I could handle that a lot more than the blocks being the wrong size or whatever but if it’s something I can avoid I’d like to do that.

I reached out to MJT just to kind of see if they could tell me based on experience if I could reasonably expect it to be right if I ordered it from this or that place and didn’t really get an answer, just kind of checking back in with me every other day if I’m
Ready to get started, and I’m not haha

Really wish we still had an ADH or PepperRhoney still doing awesome affordable guitars just because I know they’d know what I’m talking about when I ask if the inlays can be cbs spec and not like on the TVL Jazzmaster or whatever. I’m having a pretty surprisingly stupid time with this so far.

The Aztec gold on the right began life as an MJT. I eventually changed the neck, bridge, and tremolo assembly. But I can attest that the finish, weight, and overall feel of the body is fantastic.
