Re: Post your Custom Shop Offsets
I think Haustnótt mentioned this before, but the little sister to his guitar by a month is my '98 CS Jazzmaster, the only differences being the tele domed knobs, nickel instead of gold hardware, and paint color of course. Just the best sounding neck pickup I own, and what a great feeling birdseye maple neck, nice and fat! The neck pickup has otherworldly clean tones, but in bridge position it goes to Jekyll mode and sound so nasty and garagey with OD engaged.

I sold this one like an idiot a few years ago. Such a pretty guitar!
Did not sound bad either. Oh well.

Which, as we all know, is the foremost silver.

I have a brother to this in wide chocolate burst and white pickgaurd (like an old telecaster coloring)- weird but cool paint job with matching head cap. I love that guitar.... they have really hit it out of the park with these.

I love the matching burst headstock. Makes a typically bland sunburst finish look really special.

Thanks! Actually, most of my other electric guitars have fallen into disuse after I got this one. There is hardly anything you can't play on a well-setup, high-quality Jazzmaster. Leo really got it right the third time.Norrin Radd wrote: ↑Wed Jan 20, 2021 6:05 amThis is just ! Absolutely striking - I don’t know how you’d play anything else if you had that.

Re: Post your Custom Shop Offsets
I'm so happy my guitar's long lost sibling was found. I've noticed another family trait, by the way. The decals on both our guitars' headstocks are placed much further to the left than usual for vintage and modern Jazzmasters. This annoyed a bit me when I got the guitar, but now that I know that it wasn't an accident, but just how it was done in early 98, I don't mind.
