Don't forget the Staytrem also has the plastic bushings that prevent the "sagging" and vibrating loose of all the crews. Although I don't know how often that happens with the Pro bridge.

The only screws on the am pro bridge are the two outer recessed post screws. Never had an issue.Nick and the Noise wrote: ↑Mon Sep 21, 2020 3:31 amDon't forget the Staytrem also has the plastic bushings that prevent the "sagging" and vibrating loose of all the crews. .
Teles have been hot for Indie bands for the last decade, but a couple of years ago Offsets started appearing in larger numbers.
Strats and LPs have kind of turned into "driving your father's Oldsmobile" niche. Still a lot out there but not very popular with most of the new bands.
They won't go away but drooping sales will continue.
There is a lot more interest in Offsets now and Fender will only increase the options.

Incidentally, Strats and LPs are precisely the guitars I avoid.
Pickups with tap is a great idea. I'm not so sure of the series circuit. I actually had that and it was unusably muddy, but that was with Antiquity II's, not V-Mods.
Well, the saddles also have screws (and plastic bushings on the Staytrem), but I don't want to derail the thread. The American Pro bridge is probably very good and more than enough (I'd certainly buy it).adamrobertt wrote: ↑Mon Sep 21, 2020 5:54 amThe only screws on the am pro bridge are the two outer recessed post screws. As far as I'm aware the typical culprit screws that vibrate loose on offset bridges are the saddle height grub screws. I've never heard of intonation screws coming loose from normal use.. nor have I experienced that particular issue on any offset bridge, and I've tried most of them.Nick and the Noise wrote: ↑Tue Sep 22, 2020 3:12 amIncidentally, Strats and LPs are precisely the guitars I avoid.

How will the series circuit be compared to the normal rhythm circuit?
Definitely think it’s a good idea that the AmPro 2 will have the traditional rhythm circuit controls, gives the player more options.

Good eye, mate! I missed that completely. Mastery/Descendant have fixed that issue, finally Fender's turn. Honestly, this is the biggest issue I have with reissue Fender vibratos. I always need to solder my strings. Looking forward to trying the vibratos out in person. If these guitars had no skunk stripes, regular bodies and 21 frets (and a heel adjust) then I'd be soooo into them. I hope the AO line get's some kind of new pizazz too.Horsefeather wrote: ↑Sat Sep 19, 2020 10:15 amHey look--they have finally moved the outer two fulcrum mounting screws to between the strings rather than directly under them.

I'm so curious about this. I've heard so many people cite it as an issue. I've played almost nothing but offsets for like 20 years and have never had a single string break at that location across like 10 different Jaguars/JMs I've bought/sold/traded over the years (MIA, MIM, MIJ, new, vintage).algeriet wrote: ↑Tue Sep 22, 2020 3:53 pmGood eye, mate! It doesn't break the string, it "unties" it where it's wound around the ball end. That's why I've heard that you should put a blob of solder on there, but aint nobody got time for that shit.
That said, a common sense improvement like this I can get behind. Putting bushings in the trem sockets is lazy and completely changes the trem.

If it wasn't for disappointment, I wouldn't have any appointments.

Really curious to try that trem out. Excited to see what kind of FSR finishes potentially come out in the future, not too into the finishes I’ve seen so far

I've still never seen it happen on one of my own guitars. Various brands of strings, various iterations of the bridge.seenoevil II wrote: ↑Tue Sep 22, 2020 6:54 pmIt doesn't break the string, it "unties" it where it's wound around the ball end. I'm not saying it doesn't exist, it's just curious to me that in 20 years I've never seen it.

I'll take a wild guess that you don't insist on using the cheapest/crappiest D'Addario strings (and refuse to try any other manufacturer's)
