i've heard people freaking out about the jaguars. i like em. kinda reminds me of the japanese ones from the early 00's. granted, i'd be so tempted to stick a bigsby on there

You could maybe drop one of those Les Trems in depending on the dimensions of the tailpiece

My local authorized Fender Reseller, told me this for 2021:

*MORE CONTEMPORARY
*90S SERIES
*BOXER SERIES
*MUSTANG
*75 ANNIVERSARY
JOE STRUMMER

he Said that he cant say more by now...
"90S SERIES" - is that all the stuff with P90s that fender has released (meh), or a still yet to be announced series of 1990s stuff (awesome!)

Really hope it's the latter and I can finally get my hands on some Jagstang goodness.

90s series should include a Kevin Shields JM that comes with the trem arm pre-taped and randomised string gauges so you're forced to use bizarre tunings

Also, that Skyburst finish is beautiful. Not the kind of thing I'd naturally go for, but somehow it works really well on that Jag. Easily the pick of the new releases for me.

Nothing really tempting enough for me in either of the Fender or Squier ranges for me to actually buy any of them though, which is a shame. I might buy a bass this year.

Kinda wish they wouldve announced some fsr stuff at the same time as well!

That Strat is pretty nice, not sure I'd buy one but I'd like to try one out at some point.

Or a Duesenberg Les Trem? I had one on my old MP Starcaster and it was very nice indeed.

That's basically what I'm interested in. I'm pretty set on getting myself a CV Jag but I want to sse what FSR colours come up this year before taking the plunge. Really quite fancied the shell pink they did last year but didn't have the money for it.

I like the Gold Squier Jag. If it weren't for the black headstock, I'd swap out the pickguard for a mint one. But overall it looks cool.
It's good to see Squier incorporating Johnny Marr switch options.
I would leave the TOM bridge and tailpiece as it is. I have too many guitars with tremolos.

Also, it's cool they are using Roasted maple but why the hell are they still using Indian Laurel?
Why glue those two woods together? They may as well have used chip board for the fretboard :fp:

I know, right! IL is butt ugly, I've got Squire guitars with it, it's pale and dry looking even when oiled. If you're using some nice roasted maple (which looks fantastic on the back of the neck and on the Strats where the neck is full maple), why cover it up! Rosewood boards only became a thing in the first place because it was seen as a luxury upgrade over plain maple. Putting a cheap wood over a nice maple defats the purpose.

I really like the look of this jag, I'm not a purist and have other guitars with vibrato anyway so I don't mind that it's got a stop tail. I like the pickup & switching config. If it didn't have the fugly fingerboard it'd be a near perfect guitar for me.

ya know what, if they can do a jagmaster half as good as my main vista, i'll take it. sadmaster needs a backup.
