NOBD! (New Offset Bass Day!) Charvel Surfcaster Bass in trans orange!

Well, for some reason I thought it'd be cool to lowball offer for this on Reverb- and the dude accepted!
Just arrived today, and it's everything I want in an instrument, minus 8 strings or so.
Original Gangsta Charvel Surfcaster Bass in trans orange- Mahogany semi-hollow with maple cap, Lipstick pickups, Maple neck, Rosewood/dots board, matching headstock (Even the headstock is offset!)
I love the lollipop orange color- it's a bit shocking in person, but the pics get you almost there:
Well, I guess I have a bass now!

I had never played a real one before (surfcaster bass, that is-) only the weird acoustic version and my Surfcaster 12s of course. A little adjustment on the neck is going to be needed, but otherwise this thing is perfect!
Plugged it in to my practice amp (Roland Cube 30) and it sounds smoooooth & low- just like it should. The flatwounds have a nice feel to them.

Welcome to the Surfcaster Bass club! I have the same model - whenever I play it at gigs,someone will *always* come up afterwards and ask about it.

What color is yours?
It's orange too, but the figuring on the top isn't quite as dramatic as yours. I'll dig out some photos when I get the chance...

Wow.
That's a nice bass. How are the tube pickups?
F used Duncan tubes on their Rascal bass a few yrs back which were pretty fun (wired like a strat)
