I received the screws and tried replacing the stock ones on my '62 AVRI JM, but the new screws didn't seem to want to go in. I wasn't going to force them because I didn't want to strip threads. Might have to go with the Mastery Vibrato(s) now.adamrobertt wrote: ↑Sun Nov 22, 2020 9:13 amPerfect fit. Same threads and screw length, just the head is different.Meriphew wrote: ↑Sun Nov 22, 2020 8:56 amAre those a perfect fit, or do you have to mod them or your guitar? Thx!adamrobertt wrote: ↑Sun Nov 22, 2020 8:44 am
You can buy a pack of 25 of the ones I posted earlier for $10. They're stainless and they look nice on the vibrato.

Odd. Were you trying to do it with the strings at tension? I'm guessing the pivot plate holes were out of alignment with the top plate holes.Meriphew wrote: ↑Fri Dec 04, 2020 6:53 amI received the screws and tried replacing the stock ones on my '62 AVRI JM, but the new screws didn't seem to want to go in. I only loosened the string above the actual screw. That might have been the problem, though the original screw went back in fine like that. I'll give it another go. Thx for the tip.adamrobertt wrote: ↑Fri Dec 04, 2020 7:15 amOdd. Were you trying to do it with the strings at tension? I installed the low-profile screws in a Jag and a JM (With strings off). They look cool, but the E strings still hit the edges of the new screws. They would be good for installing from the other side.

As was mentioned before, the Descendant trem is really cool. It's more of a reinvention than a refinement.

I have two Mastery vibratos and I rate them. They’re hard wearing, and I’ve not had any issues with rattling.

I like them a lot. But god forbid you ever have an issue with one, because they're a nightmare to deal with on product issues.
