Newly Modified American Original Jaguar
So this is my American Original Jaguar, newly revamped with a shell pink nitro finish, Mojo Firebird Goldfoil pickups, KC toggle switch, Emerson pots and bumblebee cap.
This thing looks beautiful, sounds mega, and feels oh so sweet to play after a little setup. I'm going to try and get some samples recorded this evening and post them here.
The full transformation can be seen here:

It looked like this before, I'd fitted the Mastery bridge and vibrato:

That's a lovely guitar - great colour!
I presume you are happy with Ozzy Owl's work - it's good to know of someone who can do this work in Sheffield - dare one ask how much the respray was?
He's obviously a Wednesdayite too!!

He does outstanding work, I first had my 1962 Jaguar refretted by him ( http://www.ozzyowl.co.uk/the-workshop/r ... er-jaguar/ )Bradley-Jazz wrote: ↑Fri Jan 08, 2021 2:01 amThat's a lovely guitar - great colour!

On the itemised invoice the respray in nitro was £100. This is the first time I've had a guitar resprayed, but I feel that's very reasonable.
I assumed we're all Wednesday, aren't we?

Re: Newly Modified American Original Jaguar
He lives very close to me as well so it was nice and easy dropping it off and collecting the guitar at his house
Thanks for the kind words, I'm really looking forward to trying it out with some proper volume. At the minute I'm confined to the spare bedroom with a Strymon Iridium

£100 sounds very reasonable indeed, too. Enjoy!!

Looks super! Please do put up this demo when you get the time. I am interested in how it sounds with these pickups.

Looks great!
I was looking for one of those switch plates but ended up getting a Marr style one. Where did you find it?

I got it from Custom World Guitar Parts ( https://www.customworldguitarparts.com/ ... crews.html) but I bought it on eBay from them. Around a tenner +p&p

Re: Newly Modified American Original Jaguar
Got a very quick demo of the pickups recorded
https://www.dropbox.com/s/pnfy67f0g0gm2 ... s.mp3?dl=0
First melody is neck, 2nd both pickups, 3rd is bridge pickup and a little dirt from an Earthquaker Devices Plumes. Reverb comes from an Earthquaker Devices Afterneath V3, and I'm using a Strymon Iridium as an "amp and cab"
