mini jazzmaster- mods
Any body have a Squier mini Jazzmaster? How are the necks?? Overall play ability and tone. How cheap do they feel to you. Any modded ones here yet?? I wonder how a Vibrato route would fit. Looks big enough to do.

I’ve been tempted to get one for Nashville tuning or for my son to fool around on, but anything dad likes is extra uncool.

I haven't heard much, but I've only heard bad things about them. Some people posted on the forum and on YT when they came out and the consensus I had seen was that they were pretty poorly built. Not at all like the VMs or Indonesian CVs.
I love capo'd guitars, short scales and Terz guitars so I was bummed when I heard that. I'd have otherwise considered one.

Where are the minis made?
They are intriguing as a base for mods, but I’ve not seen many people with good things to say about them.

I have one (well - actually it is actually my daughter's).
It doesn't get played much at all and maybe I need to spend some more time on it, but getting it to play in tune is one heck of a challenge.

What are the tuning problems? I really like the shorter scale small hands. But I would have to install a vibrato and then with the scale tuning would be tricky.

Re: mini jazzmaster- mods
The tuners are hot garbage and the neck wood isn't properly seasoned, on top of crummy saddles. The mini Squiers are just generally unstable in construction, so it's a guessing game as to whether it'll give you some or a lot of trouble out of the box, and whether mods will fix any of the issues.

Got one for my daughter. I think it's OK. Easy to tune and intonate. A little rough here and there, needs a little polishing. Works best with 0.11s I think. I like playing it.
