Got mine this week. It's all nice but especially the neck feels fantastic!

I wasn't really picky about fretboards until Squier started rolling out the Laurels, and sadly I haven't seen a Toronado with a decent looking one. It just makes you feel like you're playing a very cheap guitar, with how dry and off-color they usually are. With the darker finishes of the Toronado specially they should've just dyed the fretboards dark and raised the price a bit.
^Eating my words... went to a local store and the Toronado I saw might as well have had a Rosewood board. The non-Paranormal Squiers all had super light fretboards though so it's clear the Laurels have quiiite a range between them.

yeah, i've noticed they can be anything from light brown to almost black. the one on my cyclone is a really light brown, the toronado i have is kinda rosewood looking and the one on my super sonic is basically black

I'm torn between the Toronado and a Super Sonic kinda because they have the darker boards. Seems like the pattern at Squier is to try to match the fretboard colors, but IMO the lighter laurels almost always looks cheap...

Mine came in!! Totally worth the wait. Stock stuff in it is totally good. No complaints on pickups, tuners, bridge, nut, knobs, pots, or switch. Grab one if you haven't. They are super nice. (Although mine will always look cooler. LOL)

That's easily my favourite Toronado I've ever seen. Its existence is kind of unfair to other Toronados.

Went to the store meaning to get a Super Sonic, but walked out with the Toronado instead. Won me over completely - it's unbelievably well made at this price point. Even the laurel slab is nice - decently dark with a cool porous texture. My only beef is with the pickups but I already expected that I'd need to replace them eventually.

I cycled through a lot of SG's before I gave up on Gibson completely. The Toronado really gives you a similar feel except the contours are way more comfortable and the guitar doesn't suffer from neck dive like SG's. Feels like a keeper.

Well shit it finally happened...
In the local ads a basically brand new blue Super-Sonic RI popped up. With a Fender gigbag. For 250.
I just had to.

It has been nicely set up with my preferred 11-52 strings, I'll only have to oil the fretboard.
The neck is glorious!

Oh shit. :w00t:
i love delay SO much ...that i procrastinate all the time.

Nice! I just changed out my saddles for some steel ones since the stock ones were pretty crowded. :) I also put a SH-6 in the bridge. It was buzzing like crazy and I checked the bridge and there wasn't a ground wire going to it. It could have been removed during it's paint job. I added one and it is all good again. :)
