2021 squier affinity updates
i was looking if there were still any b stock super sonics left on bax shop, sadly there arent. i did see some new squier affinity models, some of which seem ok:
squier seem to be doing lesser models of the mediocre american fender lines, such as the performer jazzmaster and am pro 1 tele deluxe (which by themselves reminded me of the not so cool squier models). colors like burgundy mist and charcoal are always welcome tho:
the jagmaster is now back as a jazzmaster, now with what looks like mascis pickups. eh.
jag bass with a bigass humbucker:
jazz basses are available in the aforementioned colors. not going to bother posting pics of them. you know what they look like.
non-offsets:
theres a tele deluxe with the wrong headstock again in the squier gamma. at least it has a belly cut unlike that old VM custom model which i didnt really like.
the regular teles have belly cuts too now. i like that change.
theres also new strats, but i frankly dont really care about those in general. i hope these prices are not final also lol.

I see, Bax Shop is a UK store, I wonder if interesting colors are not coming to the USA, like the shell pink Squier Jag.

feel bad for constantly bumping this post, but i mightve miscommunicated here. im pretty sure these new affinity models have just been accidentally leaked by baxshop, as theyve done before. as far as i can see, no other euro shop has these yet.
the pink jag is available here: https://www.guitarcenter.com/Squier/Cla ... ar&index=1

Ah shit, I thought Fender had no intentions of bringing Shell Pink to the USA. I wish I had not modified this Squier Mustang for short scale funmanwithtitties wrote: ↑Mon Mar 22, 2021 4:45 amfeel bad for constantly bumping this post, but i mightve miscommunicated here. im pretty sure these new affinity models have just been accidentally leaked by baxshop, as theyve done before. as far as i can see, no other euro shop has these yet.

Re: 2021 squier affinity updates
the neck on the jag bass looks like the bronco bass neck.
ya know, i don't hate the affinity jazzmaster BUT i really wish they'd just call the jazzmasters with strat/hardtail bridges by what they are..... jagmasters. i love the jagmaster, my main is a jagmaster, but it's all too confusing trying to remember which series which guitars belong to and makes googling them so much harder. especially since i also really liked the HH. my main D guitar is a modded affinity hh and it was fine.

offset guitars resident bass player.

That Jaguar Bass has a 32 inch scale. And the ugliest pickup imaginable.
At least the trems on all the new models are 2-point.

I'm sure some Fender dealer in '64 looked at the new Duo-Sonic II and thought, "That's not a Duo-Sonic. That's a Mustang".

Burgundy mist jazzmaster is about the only one that interests me. What's the build quality like out of that factory? 300 euros is a lot for an affinity!

Re: 2021 squier affinity updates
At this point in Fender/Squier Land if it's offset and 25.5" it's a Jazzmaster-thingy, and offset and 24" it's a Jaguar-thingy.s_mcsleazy wrote: ↑Mon Mar 22, 2021 6:13 amya know, i don't hate the affinity jazzmaster BUT i really wish they'd just call the jazzmasters with strat/hardtail bridges by what they are..... jagmasters. i love the jagmaster, my main is a jagmaster, but it's all too confusing trying to remember which series which guitars belong to and makes googling them so much harder. especially since i also really liked the HH. my main D guitar is a modded affinity hh and it was fine.
A JM 25.5" model called something with "Jag" in the name would be even more confusing. Although that's never stopped Fender before!
