just found out the other colour squier are making these in is blue.... fender, are you ok? it seems like 80% of your new guitars are blue. are you living in that Eiffel 65 song?

I can live with it.
It's better than, black, white and sunburst.

Really pleased to see more burgundy mist guitars.

Burgundy mist jazzmaster is about the only one that interests me. What's the build quality like out of that factory? 300 euros is a lot for an affinity!
My Toronado comes from that factory and it’s really awesome and flawless ...
i think the new J.Mascis comes from that factory too ...

Now this is an affinity, 300 € is a bit much , 250 would be better .

I'll be buying one of the Jaguar basses for sure. Only question is which colour! Maybe I'll get charcoal and LPB and swap the necks... Wish it came in burgundy mist though. One of the best Fender colours IMO.

the original listed price for the contemporary series and that green fsr cv jazzmaster were also way off, so i hope the final price will indeed be 250€. It seems like these have some nicer tuners too compared to the older affinities, so there might be a slight bump in quality too at least

lovin' the Burgundy mist Jazzmaster. Also has the 70's Jazzmaster typeface too.
They are like the squier version of the Performer.
I also checked the new Affinity Telecasters and they now have a belly cut and string through body. Nice!

I vaguely remember reading somewhere that it had leaked from a high level at Fender that blue guitars (particularly Lake Placid and Tidepool) sell faster than any of their other custom colors. Anecdotally, they do seem to have trouble keeping those colors in stock. I have literally never seen an example of either in a store, even though they are (as you say) among the absolute most common Fender colors.

They also apparently call Surf Green the 'million dollar color' because anytime they want to make a million dollars overnight, they just have to release something in Surf Green.

i'm kinda getting bored of blues and greens. it's why when i bought the squier cyclones, i got it in pink. hell, i'm starting to miss red guitars again. it's funny but 10 years ago it seemed the only non black or white colour fender wanted to do was red. now it's blues and greens

I'm sure some Fender dealer in '64 looked at the new Duo-Sonic II and thought, "That's not a Duo-Sonic. That's a Mustang".

Adorama is in NYC (in your home state) and is kind of like B&H, but with consumer electronics and instruments. Worth paying attention to because they blow out guitars sometimes at crazy prices. I linked to them because they had the US prices, and they are a legitimate online retailer.
