I like it. However, I'll just say "another cool color, but still no lefty Bass VI" :( ...

I've wanted a Bass VI for years, I kick myself for not buying a Pawn Shop Bass VI when I had the chance. I really didn't want to get a Squier but after days of fighting with myself I bought one...

following a train of thought, the Fender/Squier site is now showing the CV Bass VI as available again. they'd been unavailable for some months, which may have contributed to some of the attempted price gouging we've seen of late by private parties on Reverb :)

Be glad you got the Squier. Replace the bridge, the pickups and maybe the trem (if you use it) and the Squier beats the PSVI. I have a PSVI and modded the shit out of it to turn it into a good guitar. The PSVI comes with awful, stupidly overwound pickups (14k, from a Jag pickup?!), a less useful/versatile switching system and the same impossible-to-intonate-correctly bridge as the Squier. You’d have just paid a lot more because it’s made in Mexico and for the better tailpiece.

I think when I do my next round of guitar finishing in September, I’m going to refin my Vintage Modified VI in shell pink, just to have one before everyone else. :P

What bridge would you recommend? Do normal JM / Jag bridges have enough adjustment to intonate correctly? Thanks for any pointers here.

Staytrem. I don’t think there’s an alternative for Bass VIs.

I'm not too surprised at this. The CME site always had these listed on a December delivery timeline. Sucks to have to wait half a year though. :(

This isnt really in regards to this pink fsr run, but i just received the regular black one i ordered months ago. I think they started putting on usable strings on these. Like the low E is like a genuine thick bass string. I dont remember that being the case in the VMs i tried in store years ago
