Re: Johnny Marr Sherwood Green color question
In my experience, it's darker.
I've had two of them and also the shortly lived AVRI 62 in Sherwood Green. The AVRI 62 was lighter in shade, and not very metallic. The Custom Shop's Journeyman Relic Sherwood Green is very close to the Johnny Marr shade.
Sherwood Green Metallic, IMO, is one of the more unique colors depending on lighting, aging, and pickguard color.
Here's one next to my Metallic KO Johnny Marr Jaguar.
By itself.
Next to my 355.

Always love seeing this
The CV Strat looks for damn sure a lot more like OTM. I don’t even know if what shade I prefer is the right one or not, though. Ones like the Marr and that one posters 66 custom shop dream guitar that are darker green are my preference, but it seems like the historical ones were more of a blue

It's definitely the lighter 50s version, which makes sense, as the guitar is a 50s CV.
Oh ok see I did t know there were difinitively eras/versions. Just thought Fender decided to do new batches and kinda winged it on color haha
That picture especially looks 99% like my OTM Jazzmaster

JM-Jaguar next to an AVRI62.
i always thought the squier colors are a bit off to the originals (Burgundy Mist, Sherwood Green). Because, if you want the real deal, you have to pay more

Oh man! They are both beautiful but that AVRI Sherwood is where it’s at for me! I prefer the darker green Sherwood versions.

Re: Johnny Marr Sherwood Green color question
An AO Sherwood JM just popped up on Reverb if anyone's interested. It's not mine. I'm betting this won't last long.
