NGD: Fender Inoran Jazzmaster
Hi,
A very exciting day for me and I must say, a very important milestone in my life. I got my first ever Jazzmaster! I have wanted one since the early 00's when my friend and I were completely obsessed with My Bloody Valentine all things Shoegaze. I only ever go to play Jazzmasters when hanging out with him and I guess I haven't played one in over a decade. I've probably been lurking on this forum since around then too, but have never owned anything to warrant a post.
Behold... my (new to me) Fender MIM Inoran 20th anniversary Jazzmaster in Lake Placid Blue:
Don't pay the nosey feline any mind
I managed to get it from Japan to the UK, for a little less than what I have seen other Inoran models go for recently. I have to say I'm happy as can be. The two essentials on my Jazzmaster list have always been 1) metallic colour and 2) matching headstock. It's drop-dead gorgeous and lighter than a lot of my other guitars (all Fender, except for one very un-gibsony Gibson and a Gretsch). It's as perfect a Jazzmaster I'm probably ever going to get, not sure I'm ever going to own anything MIA. Now I only need a build myself Sherwood Green Electric XII to complete my dream guitar rack.
I will probably post a few questions over the coming weeks about set-up and accessories etc. as I settle into Jazzmaster life
Edit - I might post some better photos later. Also, after only a few hours with this, my stratocaster might have to find a new home
Sayonara!

That’s really nice looking. The shades of the pickup covers and pickguard work really well together and with the blue.

Love this.
I have nothing to offer anybody, except my own confusion?

A real stunner! What pickups does it happen to have?

Apparently, they should be Fender "American Vintage '65 single coil". I had a look underneath and they are grey fibreboard flatwork. Not plugged it in yet, waiting to finish work. Time is going very very slowly

I hadn’t heard of this model before...the ‘59 C neck profile is a nice touch!
