If Fender released a full scale Jaguar or JM with the chrome plates would you buy?

Discussion of newer designs, copies and reissue offset-waist instruments.

I’d be all over a short scale jazzmaster instead.

CME had master builder Dennis Galuszka built them a full/long scale jaguar a few years ago:
Fender Custom Shop Full-Scale Jaguar Closet Classic

Imo, while it looks nice, the longer scale takes away quite a bit of the idiosyncratic sound of the jaguar. It still sounds like one, but the overall sound is a lot closer to the other Fender 25.5 instruments.

Agree. I'd be very interested in how the shorter scale would make it sound compared to a mustang or jaguar.

I would rather see a reissue of a Marauder with a dumbed down switching system. But a full scale Jaguar would be cool to. I already have two 24 in guitars that I don’t play enough, which is the only reason I don't own a Jag. While I do enjoy short scale from time to time, I can only seem to make it work for very specific things. It kinda funny though, because a Mustang was my #1 for like 10 years when I was still gigging.

There's also a market for full scale Mustang's. Can't tell you how many 25.5" scale bodies I have made over the last couple of years.

Mine's not one of yours, but I think the guy that made it isn't in business anymore so I'm gonna have to hit you up for one (or several) in the future.
