Did anyone else see these on the Fender Twitter account? They're bloody beautiful!

I can't decide which I prefer. Definitely the colour on the right (Fiesta Red?) but the non-bound neck and checkerboard binding on the body, reminiscent of a Coronado, really appeals to me.

These are both cool. But I’m all over that standard headstock.
I have nothing to offer anybody, except my own confusion?

I love that they managed to get a trem on them like the BiLT Volares. Agree the one on the right is better looking.

Who in their right mind would build these and NOT put WRHBs in them?!? Massive fail
Silly Rabbit, don't you know scooped mids are for kids?

Not everyone’s pickup taste, but I’d love to give the left one a go.

Someone that dislikes those incredibly overhyped pickups.

Not sure about PAFs as a replacement though, and I can't even really figure out what the pickups are for the one on the left aside from the Staple P-90 in the bridge, one of Fender's most famous designs? :D

If I had to guess, I'd speculate that as staple P90s utilize individual 'polepiece' magnets, maybe they wanted a P90 that was most similar in construction to a regular fender pickup.

None of the pickups on these two guitars would be my first choice. I am interested in the prospect of a floating vibrato on a semi/hollow body guitar though.

I love those.
Actually, there's a fun story about the red one:

I have and Instagram page called 'offset digest', where I upload 3D mockups of offsets, kind of a personal dressing room.

Carlos Lopez started liking some of my designs and he was inspired building the first custom shop starcaster.

Pay a visit if you're interested;)

They're definitely overhyped, sure, but doesn't mean they aren't amazing - which they are. And belong in a Starcaster IMH(umble)O.
I guess I'm just shocked they didn't put any in at least one of them - considering Fender's own hype they're cashing in on with the new-ish CuNeFi releases

And here I was, thinking I was past my GAS ... Those are gorgeous, too bad they've prob got a hefty price tag.

As much as I like(d) the Volares, these FCS versions I really love. I think esp. the bridge and trem looks much, much better.
Is there any difference in placement of those, or is it just the design and size that's different?

Theyre cool but Starcasters never look entirely 'right' to me without the weird strat saddles on a big metal plinth bridge

The visual mismatch of a PAF (shape, at least) with a ring and a P90 is something I'd expect on a Pawn Shop model, not a $10k CS (or whatever price these were).

Especially since neither is actually a PAF or a P90.

Then again, I'm not their target audience. There's clearly someone out there who's saying, "Take my $10k, build me a Starcaster with an aged finish, and put mismatched looking pickups in it."
