Fender Player Jazzmaster CME Exclusive Question

Post by MBM218 » Sun Sep 26, 2021 11:01 am

Hello,
I just purchased a Fender Player Jazzmaster (CME Exclusive). Arrived yesterday and I love it. I still have to set it up and oil the board but its fantastic. My question is, does anyone know if the stock bridge on this model is a Mustang bridge? It seems so and it's definitely better than the usual Jazzmaster bridge.

Thanks.

I bought a CME JM body off Reverb and it had the standard bridge on it. Looking at the pics on CME confirms the standard Jazzmaster bridge. Reviews complain about it (as they always do with these bridges) so I'm guessing yours is just set up properly. Enjoy!

Of the versions shown at CME here ...
https://www.chicagomusicexchange.com/bl ... azzmasters
.. some are shown with the vintage-style bridge with threaded barrels for the string grooves, and some have the 0081239049/0081239001 bridge - similar but with smooth barrels (smaller diameter than Mustang saddles) and a single deeper string groove.
