No, the eye thing is just something that happens with calicos I guess. It's just the pigment in the iris fades to black and the whole eye just looks like that. It happened slowly over a few years with her.DeathJag wrote: ↑Fri Feb 10, 2023 2:30 pmThat sucks. I'm so sorry. SUPER pretty calico coat! Only knowing you from your posts, I'm going to guess she was a beloved and pampered scamp. She's lucky she had a good owner. You gave her a good life, one that about 90% of all cats would consider extreme luxury. Just the other day I was thinking about when was the last time that I really cried uncontrollably for a long time. It was when my last cat died. I could use a cry or two like that now but I don't want to have to lose a cat for that! I'm mourned and grieved but the moment I got new cats the grief gradually turned to gratitude, I was honored to be the caretaker for their lives. And the new cats are so fucking great. I didn't realize I had this much to say about it! Hey is that a glass eye? It looks like those demon eyes contact lenses. Also I recently saw a video where a girl put Indian ink in her eye by accident and her whole eye turned black just like that. It's probably some horrible medical thing and I'm sorry if I'm bringing up terrible shit.

I'm sorry for your loss Hulakatt. Cats really are something you can just love unconditionally and those smug little bastards know that we do, no doubt about it.

Re: Offsets with cats
You have my sympathies. As someone who’s been there (see page 3 of this thread), I know it’s a pretty horrible feeling to lose a pet. First few weeks were rough. I took the loss harder than my kids…. We ended up getting another cat some 4 months later. Gave it a bit of time to think about it and it was the right move for our family.
