The Ultra Luxe isn't short scale!?!?!?!

COME ON?!?!?
And £2500 again
And a TOM and humbuckers and black on black.

It's just a longer scale, £2500 version of my MIJ Jaguar HH Special that I bought like...15 years ago.

I also just realised it's a string-through AOM hardtail

I was just thinking the same thing.

If they did it with the standard Jaguar setup I'd be all over it.
Silly Rabbit, don't you know scooped mids are for kids?

Explain to me how a Jaguar without a trem is a) ‘ultra’ and b) ‘luxe.’

Hmmm... So the 50th anniversary Jaguar was £1250. The 60th is £2500. Guitar prices have doubled in 10 years.

Actually, given the current state of the market that's probably right. :(

Yep. When a container cost has gone from $3000 to $11'000 in two years, and timber prices have tripled, prices are going to skyrocket

yeah wtf. If I wanted a 25.5" guitar I'd buy literally everything else Fender has to offer?

I've been looking forward to these for ages now. I don't know what I was expecting or hoping for, but it wasn't these unfortunately.
Looks like they're American Originals with block inlays and new paint. For £2500!? I paid £2750 for a refin '62 (everything else original) in March 2020. That's less than 2 years ago!
I guess my '62 is my own celebration of the Jaguar anniversary then. The better half will be pleased! ;D

But that Meteora looks incredible!

That Candy Apple Red (or Mystic Dakota Red) Jag is everything I've been wanting. Vintage spec, 7.25 radius, matching headstock, nitro. The only problem is it's double the most I've ever paid for a guitar. Though pretty much the same price as the Marrguar, so there's precedent for that price for an American Jag.

I'm not in a rush, so tempting to wait for used ones to turn up, but I see it's listed as very limited numbers, so that might not happen. Used AV65s are selling for more than new ones cost, and I'm even seeing AO ones with the asking price higher than new, so that old method of waiting 6 months after release to save 20-30% may be history.

It may be time for me to get those rationalisation wheels turning :)

Ergh, it's very tempting to get one just to flip in a year or two. But I don't wanna be 'that guy'

The same way a 25.5” scale neck is a “Jaguar”…

I love the red and blue Jags but come on, there were no B+B necks in '62 and the blocks aren't even the right size (of course they aren't :fp:) and that price is... something.

That silver sparkle Squire looks sick though.
