That’s 🔥

It’s times like this that I’m actually glad to be a lefty. I’d impulse buy things like this & 2 other Squiers every few months.
I have nothing to offer anybody, except my own confusion?

It's nice to see a colour on the Player that actually flatters the Pau Ferro board.

They're just too red and bright to fit with LPB/OTM or even the cooler but darker colours like firemist or CFM.

But for this? PF looks even better than rosewood would.

Runner ups for the CME color naming contest:

-Baby Food
-Orange Man, Bad
-Vegan Colored Glasses

but seriously, they went back and forth for months with Fender and came up with that!?
I get the CME "orange themed identity" but it feels like they consulted a firm that told them the safest color for maximum profit is this bland sherbet peach. Maple and RS neck will sure pop on a pastel orange :fp:

Color is nice, looks like Fiesta Red's paler cousin. That goddam blade switch is almost a deal breaker for me. God I hate those so much in anything that is not a strat.

The nice thing about the CME models is that they're routed for a rhythm circuit and toggle switch, so you're just a pickguard swap away from whatever your preferred control layout might be.

Hope it's ok to revive this. Tempted by the $200 off CME is offering right now (and my Jazzmaster is in storage far away), and wondering about how this color looks in person. See some pics (in rooms) where the color has a strong orange to it, and others (mostly promo shots with white background) where it looks closer to pink. I like the orangeish look, but not so sure on the more pink tone. Can anyone who owns or has seen offer any comment?

Thanks!

No idea, but in the link in the OP it looks very orange compared to Shell Pink. Either is cool IMHO.
