I went to Andertons to buy a purple (burgundy mist) bass a while ago. It was a bit pinker than I imagined, and I came back with a different model that I got along with better instead.
The Bass VI is very tempting. More of the Mace Windu-ish vibe I was going for. Would definitely need a black or white pickguard though, the tort doesn't suit it at all.

Yeah, the tort looks horrible, but the remarkable thing to me is that it's not only an amazing shade of purple, but it's got the matching headstock too. I don't recall seeing that on any of the Anderton's purple CVs so far (Tele, Jag, and JM).

I wish Long & McQuade up here in Canada would get in on these special runs.
Having missed out on the Charcoal Frost Jag is a total bummer.

I'd definitely own more purple guitars if that was the case.
I lucked out on Kijiji locally last summer when I found a purple parts Tele with one of those purple Anderton's bodies. It's such a gorgeous shade.

I just ordered a guitar from Thomann (limited edition that CME won't ship us) and it wound up being fairly reasonable and probably what it would have cost at L&M. Thomann's price includes shipping but UPS collects a brokers fee and taxes.

Interesting. Thanks for the head’s up!

I've ordered one bass from Anderton's and shipping/customs to Canada were surprisingly reasonable.
I don't know that I'd take that chance with a Squier, though, because the QC is a bit more of a crapshoot and a return would be a nightmare.
Still, part of me is wondering what percentage of that price might be covered by selling my black VM bass VI. That purple is hot.

Now that looks fancy! Curious which other FSRs might still be announced.
