Maine Coon, '60's Jag, awesome pedalboard, Gree Knee has it made!
Honestly, everything in the last 2 years has fallen in to place for me. Feel so blessed.
Beautiful Mrs, Beautiful Cat, Beautiful House and the gear I'd always dreamed of. Feeling full on imposter syndrome.

I am also super impressed with my Sonic Blue Jag FSR from Kinko. Packing and shipping was flawless! The Sonic Blue and another color I can’t remember was limited to 48 total built. Mine was shipped on a Monday and arrived Friday morning at 7 am after sitting at LAX (customs) for 3 days! Couldn’t be happier with both the guitar AND the transaction!

Viking Power: The comp striped JM is 154,000 yen which includes 10% local tax which is not applicable to your purchase so cost to you would be 140,000 yen. My shipping cost to Hawaii was 21,700 yen and they added 6720 for PayPal fee. Using my numbers you cost would be $1128 shipped with today’s conversion rate. PayPal also charges about 4.5% for currency conversion on your end. Kinko’s website says they accept major credit cards so that’s probably a better way to go. There may be cc fees applied by Kinko, not sure. So far no tax or other fees have been required.
No second party Importer is required.
Why give M&M the $$ when you can make the purchase yourself?? That’s a ridiculous mark up!
Thanks for the math on that. Damn it. Now GAS is kicking in!

This current run of MIJ guitars really is amazing. Glad they are able to fill the void left by no AVRI2 Jaguars. Noticed that a well known "specialist" MIJ retailer in the UK is offering the Inca Silver version at nearly £2K - not sure why you'd pay that given they retail for closer to £900 in Japan. With import and postage you're looking at around £1,400 all in. Specialists have their place for sure - for those older, hard to get guitars perhaps - just not for these brand new versions. Ordering direct is where it's at IMO - you will have the pleasure of dealing with one of the most seamless retail experiences available via Kaz @Kinko.

Gas Station Guitars selling them for £1895. It was listed at In Bloom Guitars for £1695. I worked out a great deal with Tom at In Bloom Guitars and so his prices are negotiable. I want to say as well that Tom was an absolute star and a pleasure to deal with. He actually delivered the guitar personally to my house, what more could you ask for??
He's a top bloke, he really knows his offsets and loves them just as much as we do.
Yes, if I'd have waited I may have been able to snag one of the latest batch, but I'd more than likely have missed it anyway. I think £300 markup (after import fees, VAT etc etc. if flying_squad calculated right) isn't actually too bad if you were to pay full asking price from In Bloom.

Phew, I'll let the family know. I knew GSG would be in the mix!

Good to know In Bloom have room for negotiation. Don't mind paying a markup to avoid import hassles, but it needs to be fair and sounds like you sorted it GreenKnee. That guitar is stunning.

I’ve sold to Tom & agree he’s a solid dude. He paid me a really fair price & was accommodating about an error in the listing. I knew he was gonna mark it up to sell on, and I presume he got some profit. No way I could have sold it for that, so his reach & contacts is his margin. That’s what dealers do. Fair play imo,
I have nothing to offer anybody, except my own confusion?

That's... bad to know... cos now I'm even more tempted lol. A D&B Black Jag with a m/h is a dream guitar for me. But thankfully life circumstances mean I cannot afford to ruin myself financially right now!

Anyone know what pick guards these take? Specifically the Traditional 60s Jaguar.

I seem to remember someone saying they were now on an AVRI template (Whereas Japanese offsets always used to have different pick guards, right?) but I can't find this advice now.

Thinking of getting a Lavaguard tort for my Sherwood Jag. Thoughts?
