Only one round left before the final, and we have a nice variety of guitars left.

One blue v blue semi final where smjenkins' Jaguar goes up against tribi9's Guyatone, and one burgundy v burgundy* semi final pitting gishuk's burgundy mist Jazzmaster against caples' competition Mustang.

As usual, 3 days, a you can vote in both matchups, and I'll break any ties if necessary. Good luck to all!

*I'm sure this is common knowledge here but, for anyone unaware, Fender's official name for competition blue was the very misleading "competition burgundy" for some reason.

I find it moderately amusing that 3 of the 4 finalist guitars are blue. This place has a type.

I think it's just that there were a few good looking blue guitars this time around! Last year ended up as a red v black final. (A blue Jazzmaster got as far as the semis).

In checking this I learned that, before I was even on OSG, someone else did their own March Madness of Fender colours (viewtopic.php?f=6&t=97809&p=1352884&hil ... s#p1352884) which I guess makes this technically March Madness 3? (Or we can use python indexing conventions and make that one OSG March Madness 0?)

Anyway, charcoal frost ended up winning their tournament, beating ocean turquoise in their final.

That brings an end to the semi-final voting, with smjenkins' Jaguar and gishuk's Jazzmaster progressing to the grand final! Both rushed into commanding leads setting up a great final that I predict will be very close.

Commiserations to tribi9's Guyatone and caples' Compstang which both had good runs but fell short in the end. tribi9 has the honour of getting the furthest of any non-Fender, and caples can look back on taking some particularly impressive scalps along the way. See you soon for the final!
