Fender Vintera II Leaked?

Post by Salfaromeab » Fri Jul 21, 2023 10:47 am

Just came across this on my travels, looks like a pre-order for a Vintera II Bass VI.

Pictures look strange, like they're 3d models rather than photos.

Thoughts?

Actually just searching Vintera II on that site brings up tons of results! Telecaster basses, Maple b+b Jaguars, Competition Mustangs, the list goes on.

Damn it. I’ve got a Pawnshop and love it, but would be hard to resist a more accurate rendition.

Already a thread: viewtopic.php?f=6&p=1788570

In a case like this, links may stop working (like the ones on Thomann that pictured the Vintera II), or be overloaded with requests and be difficult to access. It's usually better to screenshot the pictures.

I did so yesterday… but just an overview… no specifics/close ups - maybe because I found them weird looking (like photoshop mockups) and generally unimpressive, but here you go:

It is a shame that they do not have matching headstocks. All offset Fenders should have them. They just look... wrong and blah with a plain headstock. Just last year Fender released these as FSRs through certain vendors:

With the addition of bound necks with block inlays, the only plus the Vinteras have is the trem unit. But that's easily upgraded with the AVRI as I have done.
Never actually been ashamed to say I was an American.
Until now.
