I replaced my 1966 Epiphone Casino with an Eastman T64 and have had zero regrets, I immediately lost all regret for selling what was once a dream guitar. I think Eastman makes some of the best production line ES style guitars out there right now.

But also, factually incorrect that China only makes crap. American companies that contract Chinese factories spec out crap. China can make whatever you spec, whether the spec is crap or super high end.

True. Thomann, owner of the Harley Benton name, could (and probably has) spec'd out some garbage and they're German.

I think I kinda default to specifying (buh dum tiss) "American" because my life is so inundated with "We's teh best in 'Murica!" that I recoil fairly hard when people say that other countries suck just because they're other countries.
