LOL! No it doesn't. Looks like the shitty copy that it is with no aesthetic sense of proportions and a gimped headstock.
It also has no meaningful warranty and is made by "Harley Benton" -- a guitar company that doesn't actually exist and is just a label Thomann has put on third-rate guitars it has made in factories that can't get contracts with Fender (or other real guitar companies) to make budget copies of their guitars. It costs a fortune to have them shipped to the US and good luck finding parts that actually fit Harley Benton's too.
This is not good news. Not for anyone who cares about quality and isn't just looking for more ugly wall art.
Here's what a real one looks like for comparison:

It also came in all black like the dreadful HB

There's a reason why people would rather pay $1200 for the Squier than a fraction of that to buy a fake HB.

Yes, but if you bought one of those you'd have enough left over for a Class A sarcasm detector.PlayWithPride wrote: ↑Tue Nov 28, 2023 10:36 pmLOL! No it doesn't. Looks like the shitty copy that it is....would rather pay $1200 for the Squier than a fraction of that to buy a fake HB.

Someone's never played a HB. They're generally the same quality as Squier for less cost.PlayWithPride wrote: ↑Tue Nov 28, 2023 10:36 pmLOL! No it doesn't. Looks like the shitty copy that it is with no aesthetic sense of proportions and a gimped headstock.

Yup, Harley Bentons are generally well made guitars. I have played their Bass VI and the neck is super good. Pups are not that great but it's easy to just switch them. Telecaster have also gained some kind of cult following.
I can see myself buying a 12 string electric in the near future, BTW

Every Harley Benton I've played has been excellent, my friend has one of these and it absolutely rips.PlayWithPride wrote: ↑Tue Nov 28, 2023 10:36 pmLOL! No it doesn't. Looks like the shitty copy that it is with no aesthetic sense of proportions and a gimped headstock.

I was genuinely not expecting an angry assertion of the superiority of Squier products and the factories that make them (!) in this thread.
Let's leave aside the question of whether Harley Benton guitars are, on average, better or worse than Squiers. Why should anyone who is not an investor in FMIC care about defending the brand reputation of Squier? Or Fender for that matter?

Probably all subcontracted to the same factories anyhow?
