MIJ DEBACLE!! WHAT YEAR?

I bought this MIJ Jazzmaster. It was sold to me as a 1995.
I’m now wondering if it is actually a 2010.

Anyone got better insight on this?

Serial is a U - both shared by 1995 and 2010

Neck heel reads “10 JM-66 3TS 10.9.02”

Any photos? Does it say "Made in Japan" or "Crafted in Japan" before the serial number?

Year-month-day is a common date format in Japan. You've probably got a 2010 guitar; if the MADE IN JAPAN is in a bold Helvetica typeface, almost certainly. Also a '95 would have a red tort pickguard, if you have a brown one that also indicates 2010.

Honestly I would guess that a 2010 is likely to be as good as, or a better guitar than a 1995, given my experience with both eras.

Although - if it says "Crafted" rather than "Made" it's a 90s guitar because the later run of U serials was MIJ only.
