The 60's Nitrocellulose MIM Jaguar I'm getting in Fiesta Red does not have a matching headstock, and we just can't have that now can we? So I found a place that sells Nitro in Fender colors for $21 a can in Fender colors.
So I was wonderin if anyone's done it. The goal is to replicate the Journeyman checking finish that I'm planning on subjecting the rest of the guitar to, but depending on how I feel about doing that once I get the guitar, I may leave it be. But regardless, I want to have a matching headstock in the same vein as how Fender shot em, and replace the water slide probably through Voodoo decals. I've painted a number of small projects before. mostly Motorcycle fairings, came out pretty decent but I'd like to get some feedback from anyone that has shot aerosolize lacquer in this fashion for a headstock.
*wrong color, but example of what I want it to look like*
Because I can't leave well enough alone...
