Do we know if those Kinko models are coming with vintage correct 7.25" necks? I am the most boring broken record offset player in the world about stuff like that, but having owned a couple of 9.5" short scales - actually I think it's 3 now, all gone - I couldn't get down with that.
Yes, the current batch of Kinko FSRs have 7.25" radius necks.

Very kind, thanks. Although I'm not sure what a CP Jaguar is, Classic Player? I'm guessing not though as none of those are Classic Player :D

Usually pearloid would be my last choice of pickguard, but this one works really nicely with the aged LPB

Just a quick shoutout to this thread as well as Kaz over at Kinkos. I just received my new Sherwood Green Jazzmaster from the most recent batch and it is amazing!

I’ve never played a neck like this and am finding it extremely comfortable despite some initial concerns of the nut width. The setup and fret finishing are top notch and I really can’t find anything bad to say about this guitar.

Will share some pics over in the family thread soon!

😂 I went back and put CP in cos I was barely awake and for some reason the vibrato looked closer up towards the bridge like a Classic Player. 🙈

I don't know man, I couldn't sleep but I got the start of a song out of it (Neither Whippersnapper Nor Wiseman which is this Pumpkins/QOTSA fuzz riff thing I finished later) so it's not all bad.

^ I'm sure it's already the kitschiest non-CS JM ever, but gold hardware would take it so far over the top that it would be the coolest guitar in the Eurovision song contest.

Love the look of translucent quilted maple, and the aquamarine looks like ripples in the shallow water at the beach... I'm dreaming of a holiday...

It's almost too fancy for a JM, but no, this has singlehandedly made up my mind on whether or not offsets would suit figured maple caps... 😭 it's so pretty. Does it come in blue? (I'm not counting Aqua as blue)

When it redirected me to Fender UK, I noticed the Meteora is on sale. That's a good price - these are fine Made In Mexico instruments, I adore mine and would recommend it to anyone. First guitar I've ever played with coil taps that are so good, I almost prefer them to the full humbucker sound.

As someone that loves green, and green guitars, even I can't stand that colour! Perhaps it's nice in person.

This looks like the end of Jazzmasters for me ! They are definitely loosing their "alt-rock" vibe, you see them everywhere, and now this PRS/modern MusicMan look.

You have to see this in context of the Hybrid II range: most of the various models, i.e. the hybrid II teles, jazz basses and jazzmasters share these finishes. The hybrid range has always had the odd-ones-out-colors imo, and many great FSR/Ltd runs ones as well.

Cosmic Jade? Yep it's one of my favourite greens for a guitar, ahead of Sherwood actually. Classic "photos don't do it justice" as they never capture the fact it has a subtle metallic flake to it that's more prominent under stage lights. Anyway it comes in a bunch of colours for those who don't like it, and based on the fact I've played 3 of them and own one it's got "future cult classic Fender" written all over it, in the same way JMs and Jags started to become that in the 90s. I'm not too worried about that though; I like it because it's a versatile set of Fender tones. More versatile than my Jag in a lot of ways, actually.

This is limited run though; don't see it becoming a main JM/Jag line thing any time soon, whereas a majority of PRS guitars can have fancy figured maple caps, standard thing.

If I may, you should play the instrument that fits the best, not worry about it being alternative or not. I'd play a Strat or a Tele all day long if they fit me better than a Jag - they don't, I can't get a good tone out of a Strat to save my life but I like Teles - best tool for the job and all that. Very few of my favourite players other than Johnny Marr play a Jag and the few I've seen out in the wild in my area play very different from him or me.
