If they did these with blocks and binding I'd probably cave-in and buy one
Ishibashi has 'em in Natural, Kurosawa in Black (Jazzmasters only, though).

Unlike the '62s, the '66s have a 42mm nut, btw.

The Kinko FSR’s are some of the best new Fenders I’ve ever played. I’ve had 4 I think come through at this point. Don’t sleep on these!
Out of curiosity, which models do you have?
I briefly had a ‘22 Sherwood Green Jazzmaster (no matching headstock), (2) ‘23 Sherwood Green Jazzmasters and ‘23 Sonic Blue Jazzmaster.

Yeah if they stained the natural they would've been much more appealing I think. Looks a little anaemic as is.

I've tried a couple of the recent U-shaped MIJ offsets, and the neck was surprisingly comfortable for being so chunky, but I still prefer a C shaped neck. I wish they would start making some with C necks as well.

I had the Sherwood Jag as well. Pulled the trigger since it's my favorite Fender finish. But ended up selling it. Despite the narrow nut the neck is quite chunky and that's not to my taste. But otherwise the build quality was impeccable. Definitely a great guitar but sadly not a fit for me.

The Jags and JMs have been restocked on the Kinko website. Looks like a couple have already been put on hold but still a handful remaining

Yeah four Sherwood Jag and Jazz’s all on hold. I hope at least some are going to players and not dealers hoping for a quick flip but we’ll see.

I hear a rumour from a relatively decent source that there's other colours on the horizon too
I'd love to see a few more Jazzmasters other than just the Sherwood green. I'm a big fan of the binding and dots, I was pretty disappointed that the AVIIs replaced the dots with blocks. A gold or silver would be great, or perhaps ice blue metallic or something.

Brace for disappointment! These guitars are a flipper's delight.

The tort doesn't help. Partly because it's terrible tort, but mainly because a white guard would look LOADS better. My dream combo right there. These are hard to turn down. If I could find one for around £1000 imported it'd be on like Donkey Kong.

Just looked on Kinko's website and you can have any colour FSR Jag you like, as long as it's black.

Well at least one is! I managed to get a Jazzmaster.

I figured if I didn’t click with it I would just resell it for what I paid on here or local marketplace.

Just a few short days after ordering, the JM has arrived. Pretty impressed that they can get it from Kyoto to here in Michigan in just a couple of business days. I had another guitar shipped from Florida and it took longer and was more expensive to ship haha.

Initial impression is that it's well made. The lacquer on the back of the neck is much lighter than I thought it would be. It feels like it is just barely there.

Didn't have the opportunity to test out the sound since my Supro amp blew a fuse right when I turned it on :fp: . The amp is not even a year old smh.

Anyways, if you have any questions on it feel free to reach out!
