I think the headstock should probably follow the design language of the body. If you have something with beautiful smooth curves on the body, but a pointy angular headstock, I think it leads to a visual mismatch. Hell, the Swinger's headstock didn't even follow its own body's design language, and it's probably why it was a polarizing model. Anyway, that's my two cents.

I'm in the same boat as you, I dig it! It's cool as hell, but then again, the Swinger in this case is our reference!copacetic wrote: ↑Wed Mar 20, 2024 7:37 pmGlad someone digs it
If i may pick your brain real quick:
Do you like the "swinger" style arrowhead headstock on this? Something about the marauder-fied jaguar body seemed perfect for it, maybe because the treble "horn" is more pointed? idk. Ive been wanting to do a jag with this headstock for a minute anyways, just for the added weird/cool factor.
But a lot of peeps tell me when they see this headstock they think "cheap 2000s starcaster strat" instead of "cool vintage Swinger" so they dont like the shape based on that. I cant relate to this sentiment at all, the Swinger is far more present in my mind than those crappy walmart strats, but am curious what my fellow OSGers think
What say you? If you were to have one made, would you nix the arrow headstock?
Jaguar > Jazzmaster :)
