Fender Tom Delonge Starcaster
Stunning looking things. Not really a fan of TD but a very cool guitar.
Look to be £1k

Re: Fender Tom Delonge Starcaster
It's cool to see any kind of love for the model from both Fender and artists but it also doesn't have anything that makes me like Starcasters except for the body shape.

Bloody Epiphone & their overpriced Chinese guitars.
I have nothing to offer anybody, except my own confusion?

This is nothing more than a Classic Vibe with 1/4 of the electronics and a roasted maple neck. For 1k

One thing I really dislike on guitars are large uninterrupted areas of solid color (this also applies to other things like cars). It needs a pickguard, another pickup, or something else to feel visually balanced for me.

Re: Fender Tom Delonge Starcaster
Plenty of OEMs have been selling Indo guitars for more. Fender is strange though, the guitar is probably built in the same factory as their Squiers. It's also more expensive than many MIM Fenders. Not sure why its not being built from across the border, reminds me of those carved top Teles that were for some reason built in China despite the Fender branding.

It’s probably just a simple matter of the MIM factory not making any Starcasters and therefore doesn’t have the existing infrastructure the make a one-off model.

That was one of my thoughts but didn't want to gamble on the Mexican factory never building the body type lolalexpigment wrote: ↑Tue Apr 16, 2024 9:37 amIt’s probably just a simple matter of the MIM factory not making any Starcasters and therefore doesn’t have the existing infrastructure the make a one-off model.

Re: Fender Tom Delonge Starcaster
I believe that the mexico plant produced the Modern Player Starcaster?
Mexico plant may not have had the capacity and/or would have pushed the price up.
I have no reason to - but this does appeal to me. If i can actually play one i might pick one up

Wasn't all Modern Players made in China?
