Hate to sound pessimistic. Probably a Strat in a relatively uncommon color. Ergo, something that already exists.
I'd at least like something that has never existed in modern times. Dot and binding green'd out charcoal frost? new custom color bass vi/xii that doesn't exist currently? IBM/BMM/Sherwood, etc.

I'd love it if Guitar Guitar were announcing that Squier are releasing a Bass V reissue :?

When if Fender supposed to make this announcement?

A couple years ago they had a surprise release of the MIM Ltd Edition Fender Rocky that sold out in like 2 hours.. Lots of people knew, even though it supposedly a secret, & had their names on them before they were released. They were gone almost instantly.. I missed out on that one.. The next day guys were flipping at double the selling price…

Typical annoying scalpers, but hey, as the old saying goes something is worth whatever someone is willing to pay, and sadly audiophiles, guitarists and video gamers (among others) will often pay over the odds for something if there's a fervour around it.

They can use the opportunity to move all the ‘59 CS Strats they commissioned that no one seems keen to buy (22 frets and truss rod adjustment at headstock).

They were released a while back. What really caught my eye was how nice the tort on them is; especially on the Tele it just couldn't look any better.

This was exactly my thought. I hope they make that style of tort available for purchase. It’s really the thing that makes those guitars work.

Maybe they are dropping the price of the latest 60s Mexi Strat from $1849 to $1829. :fp: :fp: :fp: :fp:

That's actually pretty sweet, I'd take the middle pickup out and convert it to a two knob setup.

I remember the 90s when you could get a Mexi Strat all day for $500 Canadian bucks.

With $1850 Mexican 60s Strats, you'd think they could afford to hire somebody who actually knows how to use Photoshop. :fp:
