Wow looks like one heck of a project.
How does it play / sound? Still have stock pickups or did they replace them with something else?

Re: The Japanese Limited Edition Blonde Jazzmaster & Jaguar
Here is a photo of my complete three-piece set. I'm a collector, not much of a player. I purchased these several years ago to display and bought the best examples I could find at the time. The Jag and Deluxe Reverb amp are pristine. The Jazzmaster has some slight tarnishing of the gold and a small scratch in the finish near the bridge. I also have the Fender case for the Jazzmaster and a repro case for the Jag as well as a padded cover for the amp. If anyone is interested, I'm thinking of selling the set on eBay soon.

Here is mine. I didn't take the neck off so I don't know the number. I swapped for a gold Mustang bridge and put gold dual design straplocks on it. (I kept the original stuff just 'cause.)

I've had mine for 20 years, seldom played. Recently upgraded all of the wiring, pickups are AV65, and a Fender Japan gold guard. It's a lot more fun now.

Wow, I'd always wondered what that would look like with a gold guard. Answer: awesome. Thanks for the pics!Jack_Burton wrote: ↑Mon Jul 30, 2018 6:06 amI've had mine for 20 years, seldom played. P.S. I fixed your links for you. An img has to actually be an image file (.jpg, .png, etc.), not a link to the page the image is being displayed on.

That looks excellent with the gold guard. I wish they had been available back in the day when I owned mine.daemon wrote: ↑Mon Jul 30, 2018 6:49 amWow, I'd always wondered what that would look like with a gold guard. Answer: awesome. Sounds to me like you should be looking for the Fender Japan "Ventures" models ...

Re: The Japanese Limited Edition Blonde Jazzmaster & Jaguar Thre
I got my Jazzmaster last April for just over 500 quid which I thought was an absolute steal. . I replaced the original bridge and trem arm/collet for staytrem alternatives which has resulted in mixed hardware colour. I think it works but I know a lot of people are a bit iffy about that kind of thing. I don't know if anyone else has noticed but the guitar can look quite yellow in certain lights. Next thing I want to get for it is a gold pickguard, anyone out there came across them for japanese jazzmasters?

I currently own four. I think they are great and two of them have great Rosewood fret boards.
Woof!
