Ha that's awesome! Nice guitar even without the tort. There's those typical rumble seat music prices. I used to live in Ithaca and always new you could find a supremely cheap  ::)  vintage fender in there.
I do like the LPB one, though.
Anyway, let me see if I've got a few g-notes just lying around.  ;D

That is my '66.

I have a '62 in Dakota red with a tortoise guard, but nothing else with blocks. Here it is anyway:

:-* That is a beautiful pair of JMs. There is something about a tort guard. It just makes anything look good.

Congrats on having nice eye candy.

Here's my clone built from an ebay body, USACG neck, fender hardware and lollar pups.

Nice guitar man. I mean really nice. I love the strong red tort as well.
Is that tort for AV reissue Jazzmasters too? Or is it a different fit? I have a black AV with the brown guard--nice, but red would be my favorite.

Thanks Felix. It was fun to build too. I don't know if it's an AV RI for real or not. I bought it off ebay, it was advertised as fitting U.S. models. The holes all match up with the US pg I have, so who knows for sure?

thanks wizard.
I don't mind the brownish color of the guard, I just sometimes like the brighter red color. It makes it more distinctly vintage looking.

Hey zhivago, are those CIJ models? It would be cool to get a block inlay offset. I'd go for a Jag, though.

The black one is actually the same one that I posted above. It was a lot cleaner in the older photo, which was taken before I acquired it.
