How many of you play thumb over on your Jaguars?
What do you think ofe the necks on 62's and 63's versus those made later?
The first Jag I had made by fender had a nut width of 1 11/16. I also had is made to a 9.5 radius
The new Jag I am having made I am thinking about being more faithful to the original. I cant take vintage frets tho
I always have been bad with pushing the e strings off of the board. Is this a playing technique problem?

Well,i got a vintage mustang(66') and a cij jag,but a mustang neck is identical to a jaguars so......the mustang neck is fat and it gets uncomfortable with certain chords at times but overall its excellent, the cij jaguar neck is by far the best i have ever had, better than an AVRI any day imho.
Love vintage frets too.you would actually never get a real bad word outa me about any fender neck, they're all great, some better than others but they're all good.

I fail to see the relevance of thumb over on Jaguars in particular

...i do this on any guitar.why jaguars exactly?

Sorry
I had the "Crown and 7"out last night (Katrina Related)
Ill reword it
How many do not play Thumb over on guitar? I have problems doing that. (Didint mean to ask specificall about doing that on a Jag)
My hands are small and fingers short. I seem to cramp up on narrow or thin necks Im not sure if its the narrowness or the thickness.
I think its the thickness. The main reason I went to 1 11/16 nut width on my first Jag was I tend to knock the E strings off the board. Thats why I was asking if thats a technique problem.
Just looking for your guys thought/experiences

Oh,lol

I too pull the high e off of the fret board up around 17 onwards, only on my mustang tho,it has the stock bridge (again

) but the jag has a TOM and so the strings aren't so close to the edge.
I use my thumb when I'm being lazy, which is often
