Looks like 5 to me.
I noted the disappearance of IBM in another thread but I don't remember which one. I'm glad I got mine when I did.

I've got this figured out.
Later, that same evening at Fender HQ ...
Joe: I just refreshed offsetguitars.com and Naturality and luau are totally confused! Awesome!
Bob: I'm adding shell pink for just a few minutes.
Joe: bwahahhaha

If anything, they need to add more variety with the models. It would be great, as part of a discussion from another thread, to have tort guards and other options for us. I mean, if there is only 5 colors to choose from, at least give some changes. I know this is redundant--just wishful thinking is all.

There are even fewer options for the '62 Tele.

That is true. But wasn't there a limited color selection for the original '62? I could be wrong on that one.
As for the JM and Jag, Fender could easily introduce Fiesta Red, Sherwood Green, and even add something like tort/mint/white pickguard options to the following guitars. I don't think it would be difficult to offer both for sale. Just order your guitar through your local shop as usual. It would be so nice to get a Sherwood Green with red tort guard, matching headstock and...

ooh, i'm drooling again.

Honestly, I'm quite surprised that they've been going with so many colors for this long.
I'm pretty sure that the Jazzmaster is far from being Fender's top-selling guitar. It makes sense for them to cut back on finish options from a financial standpoint.
It seems to me like most folks on here would rather build a "Parts-master" than buy an all new AVRI Jazzmaster, anyway.

Damn. The THREE colors I've wanted in an AVRI JM were - Fiesta Red (disc.), Sherwood Green (also disc.) and Ice Blue Metallic (NOW disc.)!!
Crap.
