My new CIJ Jazzmaster W/ Blocks N' Binding

Post by sleepingtiger » Fri Mar 23, 2007 9:16 pm

Just got her today. Pretty cool. I wanted another Fender, but not another Tele & I just don't really get it on with Strats, so this should it the bill. I DID have to pay a $45.43 customs fee upon delivery, but I knew thre'd be a chance of that....oh well... I just thought I'd share/brag. Might get some pickups wound fo it from a friend & maybe a Buzz Stop, but maybe I'd better plug her in first, hehe!

niiice. I've been looking for a reissue w/ that neck.

Where did you get it? was it a private sale or an online shop? If it's a shop, can you forward me a link?

Many Thanks

Yep that´s really nice. 8)  I just got a similar CIJ one last week except my neck has dot inlays and no binding... I would have wanted the blocks as well but could not find that version anywhere. So maybe you ordered it straight from Japan...?

Their CAR, OTM and LPB dot jazzmasters have matching headstocks, at least for rightys, I assume it's the same the other way around.

Does Ishibashi still have new Block+Binding JMs/Jags in stock?

You would have to inquire via email. The didn't show mine on their website, but gave me an in stock price quate of 84,800 yen when I asked. I got it 4 DAYS AFTER THE ORDER WAS ENTERED! The bad news was the $45.43 "customs fee" I had to pay upon reciept.
The gig bag is a joke, but the guitar is just fine!

That's not too bad a customs fee - when things hit European customs office, they add VAT + a customs fee. Here in the Czech Republic VAT is 19% and customs another 1.75%.  OUCH!!

I bought a Tele Custom from Ishibashi a few years back and I got one of those gigbags - talk about thin material!
