Neckplate starts with "21": https://reverb.com/item/38084669-fender ... ure-jaguar
Could this be from 2021? can't be right?
Although it is a somewhat rare gem, that is quite a price tag... feeling kind of salty.

No, the serial numbers don’t include the date on these.snarf wrote: ↑Wed Jan 06, 2021 1:41 pmNeckplate starts with "21": https://reverb.com/item/38084669-fender ... ure-jaguar

Furthermore, the Lake Placid Blue, Black, and Sherwood Green have all been discontinued. Only the Metallic KO and Olympic White are in production.

The LPB, Black, and Sherwood Green were always low # limited runs and when they sold out they were gone. The Metallic KO and Oly White are the only regular finishes of the Marr Jag since the beginning.edwardskim wrote: ↑Wed Jan 06, 2021 8:02 pmFurthermore, the Lake Placid Blue, Black, and Sherwood Green have all been discontinued. I'm sure some Fender dealer in '64 looked at the new Duo-Sonic II and thought, "That's not a Duo-Sonic. That's a Mustang".

Maybe this is already covered in this thread somewhere, but it looks like the retail on the Marrs has gone up to $2099...

Re: Johnny Marr Sig Jaguar
Well, this could get interesting. Back on the 20th I put down a deposit for my local shop to order me a JM Jag from Fender. The price on that date (and my receipt) indicates the cost at $1799.
The following week I called the shop just to see if they had an estimate on when the delivery might be and was told it wouldn't be until Feb. No mention of any price change, and until reading the latest from this thread I was unaware there was a price change. My plan has been to call later this week for an update. I guess I'll see how that call goes.
Honestly, for $2100 I think I'd just as soon pick up an AVRI off of Reverb.

Maybe they figured in tax?

The $1799 will likely still be the price that you will get, so you will end up getting the guitar at an automatic discount.jrom wrote: ↑Tue Feb 02, 2021 3:16 pmWell, this could get interesting. I went looking around a few webstores last night. Seems all the big ones (mf, samash, sw etc) have the new price. Did see some smaller shops still at 1799 on the olympic white. I was hoping to find a KO at the price but no luck.

Hey, does anyone have a good recomendation for a jag pickup like the bareknuckes? I'd love to find a pair of the bareknuckles, but they've been hard to find.
