Are you talking about the ones you'd order from a Fender Accessories dealer? Mine came with the works.

AVRI on the left - MIJ on the right

Re: avri tremelo replacement kits
Angela instruments has these on sale now for 49 bucks! The only thing they don't have is the trem arm.

Steve at Angela has always been a straight up guy to deal with too. I've dealt with him for over 12 years for stuff, got a pkg from him yesterday and am expecting another in a few days!

Ok, if you like heavier strings (like most JM and Jag players do) you can go the following route.
Instead of tossing out the whole MIJ/CIJ trem unit, just rplace the trem arm and the trem nut (or whatever the part is called where the trem arm fits is)
These are the "bad' parts on the MIJ/CIJ tailpieces...
Order AVRI parts (from Angela.com, as already mentioned) and get a good tailpiece for less.
I did this (since I ordered, by accident a complete AVRI trem assembly and a trem arm + nut) so I had the parts left. Worked like a charm
And don't forget to take away a bit of wood directly under the trem arm in the trem cavety. MIJ/CIJ trem cavetys are less deep then the ones found on the US guitars so the trem "bottoms" out...anoying....
And I also vote in Steve's from Angela's favor. Shipping prices are a bit steep if you order from outside of the us, but the service is superb! (just order enough parts or find some JM/JAG buffs in your neighborhood and place a bigger order and split the shipping costs

Another vote for Steve at Angela (he also is one of the most knowledgeable Marshall guys in the WORLD). I ordered some pickups from him at 11in the morning one day and they were on my desk before 10 am the next morning. THAT was something else!
