I like it. It's a refinished and reliced 63 jazzmaster, I believe.

I love the Sunburst peeking through!

they went a bit too far on the arm wear (as usual), but i like the shell pink over sunburst idea. i wonder if the original finish was done that way...

I'm not even sure if this is an actual relic, though. I know RS Guitarworks does relicing, and rather well, but I'm not sure about this one. I like the arm wear, it looks nice, and not at all like Nash arm wear. Ugh, Nash.

You going for the matching dots too? :P  I'm thinking some color adjustment on the photo processing.  If I was going garish on a JM it would be fiesta red with mint guard, but I have much love for the shell pink too!
May God bless the Banjo Players... They try so hard...

In general or on this particular guitar?  Supposedly a lot of custom colors were shot over rejected sunburst finishes...

I don't like the relicing on this.  Most of the guitar looks practically brand new, then you've got a few areas that look like they've had a chisel taken to them.  It doesn't look natural to me.

I shouldn't have even mentioned the "relic" part. I doubt anyone would have even known.

yeah i know, i meant on this particular guitar. i mean, one of the reasons for doing a refinish with a custom color over sunburst would be if the original finish was done like that.

I like everything about it but the pickguard near the lower horn. Why is it worn down there? When the hell does your fingers ever go there?? It doesn't look natural. A worn spot for your thumb near the E string would look better. I do like the checking and wear on the butt of the neck. My MIM Strat is getting that in a smaller form because I strum right at the butt of the neck.

yeah they definitely went too far on the pickguard. look at the edge along the neck pocket... how in hell could that wear have occured naturally? and the rest looks pretty fake too. looks to me like they just sanded away with not real plan.
