Blocks but no bindings??......

Post by PorkyPrimeCut » Mon Jun 11, 2007 10:14 am

OK. A general question really.

I'm not a big fan of bound necks but I love MOP blocks. Has anyone seen or heard of a Fender neck that has blocks without the bindings?? Even better, a JM neck that fits this description.

A month or so before I bought my JM slab neck I bought a bag of white MOP. I was gonna get a luthier to make me a neck like I described but it never happened.

I have seen binding with no blocks but not the other way around.

The current CIJ Jaguar basses have blocks and no binding.  There may be other Japanese models that have it.
