Some pics of my other offset - 1960 Jazzmaster.

No Date neck (late '59), 12/59 body date, tort guard, '60 neck plate. 100% original.

The refin was done by a local luthier, who was refinishing my gibson LG2 at the time, and used the same colours. Its a nice finish but not vintage correct. I am considering refinishing it either black or foam green, as I have seen these colours with tort guards. I may refin over the top of the sunburst, and then allow it to wear through. The other option is oly white. I have not seen any other custom colours with tort guards.

That's a nighty fine Jazzm you got there. I think black would look great! I've always felt foam green is a bit tacky for a nice classy ol' vintage offset like the one you've got there. And besides, the sunburst under the black would look super duper.

I like the idea of the refin over the top of the sunburst,
if you do it olympic white, the wear through will look ace

Nice looking guitar as it is, even though I'm not a big fan of sunbursts. I'd vote for Seafoam Green, especially if you use a tinted clear coat to give it that darker aged look. Don't rule out Sonic Blue, either!
