Jazzmaster colors.

Well, I'm going to put in an order for an AVRI JM, even though I have to wait till August I thought I might as well.

Now, here's my problem. I don't know what color to get. I've been set on black for a long time, but after seeing pictures of peoples black JM they don't look as appealing. I've been thinking maybe going for a Daphne Blue or Surf Green, but playing in my colleges guitar ensemble with a bright guitar would make me feel awkward. I just thought i would get peoples opinions.

I might get Oly White, thats cool, or you can get good ol' sunburst

i would get Oly White or Black. Not sure you can get Daphne Blue (do they offer it again, or you talkin used/refin?)

i do have to say that black Jag/Jazz are the best. Unlike all the pretty colors, they don't always photograph well. you have to see the splendor in person.

but go with your gut.

I'd go black. I bought my first black guitar a couple of months ago, a Dillion Duo Jet copy. It looks so much better in the flesh, so to speak, than the pictures. I love my sunburst Jag but a black JM is what I want.

I always thought sunburst was a bit of a classic. I have a black strat, I got a bit bored with it for a while, I chipped some of the finish off, and I like the "worn" (okay, so I cheated...) look with black, but I love me some sunburst. Might be a cliché, but it's a nice one

Surf green's really cool too, but the headstock is always a make-or-break thing for me. I don't get the whole matching headstock thing.

But definately go with your gut. It'll be your guitar

If I was getting an AVRI, I'd get burst. Now that I have a CIJ with a matching headstock, I just don't think I could go back to non-matching again. So it's burst all the way for AVRI.

I've been looking at that, and those pictures don't look appealing to me. But I think you guys are right, the photos don't capture its beauty.

I think I might just flip a coin over Black and Surf Green.

Black is a good color.

Why does everyone say that Fender is out of Jazzmasters? Musicians Friend has them and Americanmusical too and many other retailers im sure. Im sure fender makes a bunch then sells them to stores to sell I mean who buys direct from Fender anyway? Fender might be out but stores have them for sale unless they havent updated thier websites.

Yeah that avri Jazz I linked to on ebay isnt too bad really. I dont like the sticker marks on the finish, otherwise its just missing a bridge and wiggle stick, not too bad for what 625$ right now(it will go up however, id stop bidding at 700$ if I were to bid on it at all)
