I know this ad from the "Fender - The sound heard 'round the world" book, it is shown there among many other ads from Bob Perine's "You won't part with yours either" campaign. This particular image is featured there twice, again in the XII chapter - according to the book the photograph was taken in October 1965.

I have that one here (an original) along with about eight other "You Won't Part With Yours" that I pulled out of mags years ago. Cool stuff.
