hi, my name is Tyler, sorry i didn't give an introduction in the proper section. i am very interested in ordering a cij jazzmaster and after contacting my local fender dealer and going through the search in the forum i haven't found anything. next step i see would be to contact fender myself by phone, my dealer did so and got back to me saying they don't make them anymore. any light that could be shed on it here would be GREATLY appreciated. thank you in advance.

Just email them and tell them what you want, and they will give you a quote with shipping. It will be in Yen, so you'll have to calculate exchange rates...It usually takes a few days for them to respond, so be patient.

Fender no longer imports the CIJ JMs/Jags through the US dealer network. Ishibashi is the best way to get one - kind of going around the system, but it works quite well, apparently!

has anyone ordered from ishibashi lately? i'm hesitant to get shot down because of the "- I will limit sales of the fender Japan commodity only to Japan" on the translated page...

No problems. They will sell to individuals, not dealers. Like RumorsOFsurF said, just email them and they will respond.

I was just looking at Ishibashi's JM/JG page, and it doesn't look like like they have the B&B models

. Is that one of the things i should mention in the e-mail?

Definitely, just e-mail them, tell them exactly what you want and they'll probably have it.

thanks. i'll do that once i've gathered the funds. I found this image last night at work; it's from gakki.com. is this just something that's out of date and i shouldn't get my hopes up for the BMT option?

Just let them know what you're looking for. It is my experience that they check the current inventory of all their stores (they're a chain, like Guitar Center in the U.S.), and then send you pics of what's available, and the price. Who knows? Maybe you'll get lucky. If you will accept used, let them know that as well. You might save a few bucks.

When you send your email request they'll reply and tell you what colours they have. I'm afraid that looks outdated however, as i ordered mine just this week and they only have a hand full of colours. There was no BMT. The B+B options are the same tho.

Just a question for those that have got orders from Ishibashi, when they give you your tracking number and link you to the site, how does that work? i just get a relatively blank page with one link that takes me to the main Japan Post page or something.

Also, that picture shown above has me wondering, have AVRI's ever come with matching headstocks?

I never figured out the tracking system they used. For me it wasn't too useful. Also, there is a change you could get hit with an import tariff when it arrives, I did for my most recent one last year but not the one I bought 4 years ago.
