Hi Guys, I'm interested in getting a squier Jaguar (the real one with the floating trem)
but the only photos I can find are mostly the vendor pro pics, I would need to see someone's "bedroom" photos. (especially the surf green).
Of course other offsets would be appreciated.
Thanks Guys
Aron

Do you have a pic of it? I played a blacktop Jag, Does it has that nice slim neck too? Laquered and not as wide at the nut Yum that played great. Plus the short scale makes fancier chords play like a charm!

It's not a Jag, but here's my Squier J Mascis Jazzmaster:

YaY,

Great, is it a full-sized 1-3/4" body thickness?

What's the story with this one, or just a refinish?

Just did a painted headstock... more of a lark. I wanted to buy an unfinished replacement neck, as I'm not a fan of the jumbo modern frets in particular. But never having done a paintjob of any kind, before ordering the new neck, I decided to have a go at the old one. It actually came out pretty good, and by then (lots of coats/sanding/clear/sanding/buffing) I decided to just say fug it and keep the old neck. I may still change it up at some point. The red I used is a hair darker, but hard to tell unless you get anal about it... just the closest can of metallic red I could find from the local auto zone.

Changed to US 62 AVRI pups, added a mastery, new input and replaced the tuners, as well as a replacement pick guard. I like it now a great deal. Might nab a JM at some point and go to town.

I've come to realize that I kind of like tinkering and beefing up cheaper guitars more than saving for higher priced models. It keeps me busy and always kind of planning with something always on order, which is a nice way to waste my time and keeps me out of trouble... and tamps down some of my constant "gas" as the fellars call it, without having to blow too much cash all at once, thus alerting the wife!

What does the basswood compare to? Is it too light?
I'm Anal (more or less about the nitro paint, that's why I would rather build one, But I Won't buy myself trouble.
I'm more of a Vintage Surf green sorta guy.

This is Bilinda. So far, Modified Mustang Bridge, Staytrem (from Johnny Alien), and I just put on the tort I got (from blake480).

Now, I just gotta figure out the pickups that it wants. Also thinking of getting it this neck.

Yeah, I know, eventually the only original part left is going to end up being the body, but who cares? This has been fun so far.

I dunno, I think the neck is fairly large, actually, which, unintuitively enough, makes it much easier to play for me. I have an old 90's pointy metal guitar with a thin neck (it's a VESTER guitar) that ends up hurting my hand after a while. No such problems with my jag. The 9.5 radius and the meaty neck feel perfect in my hand. I have medium-large hands and long fingers, though, so YMMV.

Anyway, as to wheather or not I have pictures.. pfft! Of course! I take pictures of my guitar compulsively. Here are a few:

I love that - makes me wish Squier had gone with tort for the red VM.
